Verify upgrade entitlement for existing licence

We are using BT 2022 R8 Enterprise and plan on upgrading to version 12.x 

When installing the latest version on a test server and connecting to our central licence server I got the message that the licence does not cover this newer version.

How can I verify what my highest version entitlement is for an existing licence key?

  Thanks for joining the community.

  For this upgrade to a newer version, you need to have an active maintenance contract. If yours has expired, we recommend you to contact our sales department, so you can discuss with them options :)

  Hi Paula,

  I am sure our maintenance contract is active. Unfortunately I did not take a screenshot of the message, but I am sure it indicated that my licence did not cover a certain newer version. I have to try this again to reproduce the message, then I can provide a better description 😉

  Version 12 can't connect to a 2022 licence. Instead of using the Connect to Existing Licence option, you could go down the Provisional Actitation route for the test server, although you would need valid Maintenance as Laura suggests above.
