TSC TE210: TCF:YES vs TCF:NO and 50DMX.TTF — need dealer TCF path
We have two TSC TE210 printers (203 dpi) on the same SAP/Namer DPL Alternate job. The PRINT stream must remain byte-identical; we need a printer-side fix.
Hardware / firmware:
- Working unit: firmware A2.17.W05 EZD TCF; self-test shows TCF: YES; FLASH contains 50DMX.TTF (about 43 KB).
- Failing unit: A2.15.C45 EZD; self-test shows TCF: NO; FLASH has no font files after File Manager Get.
- DiagTool settings XML/.DCF cloning (including d_ControlCodes=2 / Alternate) did not restore correct printing; settings do not include the TCF/fonts.
The unchanged DPL Alternate job uses ~ySH8 (Hebrew-8), ~ySPM (PC-850), and scalable fields with font IDs SA0, S00, and especially downloaded S50, which maps to 50DMX.TTF. We cannot dump files from the working printer. Homemade/subset Hebrew TTFs renamed 50DMX.TTF did not match the good output, and DiagTool cannot create a .TCF.
Can anyone provide the correct dealer/OEM path for a TE210 TSPL-EZD TCF package? Specifically:
1. Is 50DMX.TTF produced only inside a dealer/OEM TCF, or can any model-matched Hebrew TTF under that exact filename bind to DPL S50?
2. Is there an official Hebrew/Datamax soft-font pack or .TCF available through Partner Portal / EMEA support?
3. Does the … EZD TCF suffix indicate a different firmware build or stock EZD plus an applied TCF package?
4. Are there additional requirements beyond the TTF (font cache, Font Emulation FE=2 / Sub User S50, code page) for ~ySH8 + S50 to render correctly?
We need the official 50DMX.TTF or model-matched TCF/OEM image and exact File Manager installation steps. Thanks!
