Migration & licensing questions about running 11.11 parallel with 2021
We will be upgrading our current version of Bartender (2021 R4) to 11.11 and would like to run the 2 in parallel (same network, not same subnet).
Our main concerns are that we can migrate and develop under 11.11 without impacting our current userbase running on BT version 2021 until we are ready to cut over.
I have some questions about running both versions in tandem:
1) The plan would be to test existing labels on 11.11 and continue with development work on a new project.
Are there any known compatibility issues porting labels from 2024 to 11.11?
I should point out that at this point, I don't know if there is any scripting tied to the current labels, I do know that some labels are 'layered'.
2) For licensing, we're switching from the Perpetual license to the Subscription.
Can 2024 Users continue to run on the existing Perpetual license while we do the conversion/new dev work on 11.11 even if say, we are running 11.11 temporarily under a Provisional license?
3) The new dev work involves pagination which we had started to develop under 2021 (example, we need to produce continuous pages of data on labels - 'Label x of y').
Based on information we discovered about 2021, it appears that 2021 does not handle pagination *reliably* and so looked at a path where the process that produced the labelling source data determined the pagination, which seems a somewhat 'brittle' approach.
Are there any known issues with pagination or performance on version 11.11?

1. There shouldn't be any issues opening/printing labels from 2021 to v11.X but you would need to make sure that anyone using v11 saves any labels as v2021 otherwise the users of the previous software would not be able to open these. As BarTender 12.0 is due out shortly have have not updated to 11.11 and I am still running 11.8 but I believe the default save as version is BarTender 2022 for 11.11 and you can override this from within BarTender Designer and the Administer>BarTender Document Setup menu option.
2. If you are running 11.11 on a Provisional basis then 2021 would still be the fully licenced version so users could still use this. However, you could not run both versions on the same computer.
3. Not that I am aware of, saying that I have not come across any x of y issues with 2021 to my knowledge.
