Russia GS1 updates
I notice when creating a GS1 Datamatrix that for AI 92 the max characters is 30. The new regulations allow for more. Once I remove this restriction for the data field, the field accepts the entire string given (about 88 characters), but I need to know if it is encoding properly. If the data field has 30 characters or less, the barcode decodes properly, displaying all the AIs embedded. Once the field goes over 30 characters, the AIs are no longer decoded and displayed properly.

If you take out the 30 character maximum then BarTender no longer knows when the field ends and so any application identifiers after that will be messed up. I think what you need to do is manually add a Function1 character before the next AI and that will sort it. The FNC1 can be added by typing in ^1 prior to the next AI.

That makes sense, but this field is the last one. There is no AI after it.

If it is the last one if you take our the 30 character restriction (or amend it to whatever the new limit is now,) then I believe that should sort this for you.
