QR code not printing

You could try sending the QR Code image down as a graphic rather than allowing BarTender to try and use the inbuilt printer commands for the barcode.

Sorry as it has been a while since I was last using 7.74 I cannot remember the name of it but if you go into the Properties of the QR Code and on the Symbology tab (or perhaps Human Readable) you will see a button called something like Print Methodl and in there there should be 3 options. The one you want to use is the one that allows BarTender to control the printing of the barcode.

It could be, if your printer is the same age as your BarTender that the firmware is either corrupted or does not support QR formats and perhaps updating the firmware may fix this without using the above route.

    Hi Peter,

thank you for your reply, sadly i can't do it that way because i want to use the QR code as a serial number for our products. I could use a barcode but size is a problem for me (some of our products use very small labels). If i use a picture for the QR code it would be the same serial number each product, which wouldn't work.

I'll give the updating the firmware a go, no harm in trying that for sure.

If you enable the "BarTender to control" option the program will send down an image of the code whenever one is required so if you print 100 serialised labels it will send 100 small graphic files down each time with commands to print them as part of the label format.and not 1 static image with a print this 100 times, if that makes sense .
