Print Proceeding Blank Labels?
Hi all,
We use bartender's commander and XML to generate serialised label prints.
We have one instance where a user decision may mean they want 40 blank labels to come out first. Preferably with a big VOID.
I can pass a sharedstring true/false from the software, but I'd like bartender to handle the rest.
I have tried sending the first serial as -40, with a conditional Text field making it's "VOID" content visible, but this isn't working for various reasons I cannot understand.
anyone done something similar before?

Is this BTXML that you're outputting to Commander? If so, why don't you output a <command> to print a quantity of labels with VOID on it from a different document. You could as an alternative use a BarTender document with two templates under a template selector, with the data source setting which template to print.

yes, we've got a commander TCP listening with BTXML as the format.
I'm trying to accomplish this with a single job if at all possible. Reason being, and this is the short story, I've configured multiple instances of bartend.exe in commander so the single task in use means users don't have to wait until other user's jobs have completed. In this configuration multiple jobs to the same printer get interspersed with each other and people get confused.
I'm hoping that made sense, but given that, will your first <command> suggestion fit with that? If so I'll go educate myself as to what you're suggesting here.
