Separation Page After Serialization
Hi to all,
I hope this is my late topic about our current project. For every day we have a one file with data for labels. We're printing it on Zebra 220XIiii in one print job and it's about 3 000 - 4 000 labels per day. There're many despatches in the file and every despatch contain many labels and every label have despatch number on it. I want to print separation page when the despatch number is different from previous label.
I think this can be done with VB script but the separation page must be larger then labels for easy manipulation. So I need way how to manipulate with page size based on serialization.
We have Bartender automation 10.1 so I can use templates switching but as I know, the page size must be same for every template. I take a look into the VB manual but the page size is read only. Now we using the Zebra drivers. I have a seagull drivers for testing but I can't find the way how to do this.

Are these die cut labels you are printing on? If you want a separator that is larger than normal, for easy identification, then you will need to specify two labels, or three labels for your separator. It won't be possible to specify a fraction (eg. 1 1/2) of a label as the label length in the printer is fixed for an entire print job.

Thank you for the quick answer. Unfortunately I forgot to follow this thread. It's a good idea to print two "empty" labels as a separator page. Hmm, but we're using cutter and continuous media so the "two labels separator" will be cut in the same way as normal labels. Am I right?

Yes you are correct, Unfortunately the only way you can print a different size tag is to have it be part of a different print job using a different BarTender document.
