Barcode Print On Different Printers

    1. When it comes to 200 and 300 dpi printers it really isn't possible to get the same X-dimension on the overall barcode.  This is because the printer resolution plays an intrinsic part in defining the X-dimension of the barcode as a whole.

Assuming you're using a recent version of BarTender, you can click the properties button of the X-dimension value, and from the dialog that opens, specify a target X-dimension that the barcode should conform to.  In this way you can control with a little more intelligence the X-dimension that is used when the document is used with a 300 dpi printer.

    2. You can make an adjustment to print offset via the "Print" dialog, "Document Properties" button, "Page Setup" tab, "Advanced Options" button, and then under the "Printing Position" tab you can set a horizontal offset as needed.

    3. Note that the unprintable width specified in the driver means that you may not have a left hand margin that is less than this value in the documents page setup.  You can reduce the unprintable margin if you want, but Citizen doesn't guarantee that anything will print within that area.  This is part of their manufacturing tolerance on the print head.

I increased the locked target x dimension a little, it doesn't change the actual x dimension on CLP 7202e but enlarge it on CLP631. I was expecting to make the actual x dimension on both printers but it looks it's impossible. The label printed CLP631 can barely hold the longest PN barcode. But anyway it's scannable .

    Thanks a lot. :)
