Quick update: Following the instructions in the following post (deleting printer fonts, turning off "Warn when using True Type") at least lets us print TrueType fonts, including ChunkFive: http://seagullscientific.invisionzone.com/index.php?/topic/927-blank-labels-from-tlp-2844/?hl=font#entry2801

However, the quality is not ideal. Certain letters render incorrectly (some thinner than others). We'd really like to figure out a way to print using the font downloaded on the printer.

How are you downloading the font to the printer?  Are you using the functions in the Seagull printer driver under the "Fonts" tab, or are you downloading the font via some other tool.  Please give exact steps.  Naturally you should use the Seagull driver to download and use the font via our software.

We're using the Seagull driver functions. Here are the steps we followed:

    1. From the print dialog, clicked "Printer Properties..."
    2. Clicked "Font" then "Download Font..."
    3. Selected "Bitmap" (Scalable was greyed out), "ChunkFive", "Regular", "14", "100%", "Western (ANSI 1252)" (tried OEM 850 as well) Screenshot: http://i.imgur.com/lg7ZHhC.png
    4. Godex EZ2250i Printer beeps, reads "Data Receiving" then "Ready"
    5. Font screen shows font and a Resident scalable font as well: http://i.imgur.com/44PAv4r.png
    6. Attempts to print to either font (ChunkFive or ChunkFive*) show up blank.
    7. Removing the fonts and printing with "Warn when using True Type" off allows us to print.

What does the driver report when you select the, "Tools>Verify downloaded fonts" button menu item?

There might be a problem with this particular font.  Have you tried downloading the standard Windows Arial font as a bitmap font; does this give you the same problem?

"Verify downloaded fonts" is greyed out, even if I select the font. Using Arial produces the same issue. This may not be worth the trouble—I've found that tweaking the font size slightly reduces the inconsistency in letter thickness to a level that is acceptable for us. Thanks for your help!
