Why Can't I Click And Drag Database Fields Onto My Template In V10 ?

In BarTender v9.4 and previously, once you defined a database you got a list of the fields and could click and drag them onto the label.  

 

I just installed V10 and the thing doesn't work.  I get a No Entry symbol.  If I click and drag the field over an existing label field I can replace it with the database field, but I don't want to have to create a bunch of text fields first.

 

Am I doing something wrong, or has this useful feature been removed on purpose ?

  Current Version of BarTender supports more text object types, and they're not interchangeable. I mean, once single line text is created, that cannot be changed to rich text object etc.

  For that reason, creating specific object type is being important.

  Also we no longer have drag'n drop barcode creation from standard barcode toolbox - that's now from barcode browser and recent barcodes.

   

  Besides - yes, true. I miss the simple drag'n drop text creation.

  Please create bunch of text fields using Ctrl+C > Ctrl + VVVVVV...
