Is There A Way To Have Bartender Clear The Print Spooler?
Using Bartender 10 Enterprise Automation, and a Zebra 110PAX4 printer, we would like to send label print jobs that will clear the spooler of the previous job. Example, we send a job of 1000 labels but only print 500, there's 500 still in the spooler but we don't need them. We want to send the new print job but at the same time clear the spooler of the old job. Is there a set up or command in Bartender 10 that will allow this? The objective is to avoid the users having to manual clear the spooler on the printer settings. This is an assembly line, print-and-apply environment.

Version 10.0 doesn't have that feature, but we added something like this in 10.1 (just released). Please download a trial of the new version and check it out.
You will find a checkbox called "Cancel any jobs previously queued to this printer" in the Print dialog. This will clear the Windows spooler, regardless of what printer driver is in use. For some drivers, it will additionally send a command to the printer to clear its internal buffer (this is needed because the printer may have already accepted the entire job into its memory and it doesn't appear in the Windows spooler any more.) Not all drivers support this but the Zebra PAX driver should; just be sure to use the latest version on our site.
