    Hi:

    1) Can you try the new text file print in Bartender first to see if the result is what you expect?
    2) Do you reconnect text file inside Bartender or restart commander detection?
    3) You can reference commander example http://s3.amazonaws.com/SeagullBarTender/ftp/WhitePapers/WhitePaper_CommanderExamples_English.pdf for more details
    4) If you still encounter problems, you can contact our regional office http://www.seagullscientific.com/aspx/technical-support.aspx for more personalized assistance on this problems by sending us your Label format *.btw, commander *tl and trigger file

    Thanks!

You need to modify BarTender document (label format).
Open the btw file by BarTender.
In print dialog, copies option, you likely to have selected datasource as 11th field. select 12th field instead.
(You may need to re-assign other label object's field too.)

None of this has worked. The label format doesn't have the quantity in it. The only thing I can think of is the tl file, but the commander PDF file tells just about nothing on the TL file. I've emailed support and heard back once, with basically the same responses here, but when I replied and asked another question, I'm left in the dark.

To be honest, if I can't get the answer, I'll scrap that software and do something else.

Hi RBTrout - sorry I couldn't figure out what the problem is. Could you show me the trigger file for the commander?
(if that has confidential data, modify that to dummy data.)

.TL file is task list - it tells commander that what task (where's trigger dropped, what commander do when trigger found) etc, which can be opened from Commander.

To get print quantity from a CSV field, Open the btw file from BarTender, Open Print dialog, number of identical copies [option], select [from datasource], open datasource tab shown above, select appropriate field.

Stop and start detection again in Commander, to reflect change to btw file.
