    I assume that the font includes these extended ASCII glyphs?  Also, make sure that the substitute with best matching printer font checkbox has not been enabled for the text object as this will result with a printer based font being used to render the text rather than your Windows font.  Note that some printer based fonts look very similar to Helvetica, and often don't support extended ASCII characters.
