Difficult With Sequential Ucc/ean/128 Barcode

Hi I am new to working with barcodes and bartender.  I have spent some time working with the videos and the user forums.  I hope that I could get some help with a problem I am having with this file.

 

I am trying to get the barcode to work sequentially  (01)1010010101004    so that (01) will move to (02), (03), (04) etc.  

 

I have in data source:

AI Code: (01)

GTIN : (manually entered number)

 

In the 

 

I have attached some screen shots of the print preview of the label to demonstrate what is happening. The parentheses for the sequential number in the beginning of the barcode number are changing.   I am not sure why this is occurring.  The barcode will stay the same for (01) and (02) but the third print it changes.  I lose the end right number of the barcode.  Then on (05) it changes again, parentheses are moved.  

 

I appreciate any ideas and suggestions on what I may be doing incorrectly or haven't done in order for this to work correctly.

  Are you sure you're wanting to use a GS1 standard formatted barcode which is used for logistical items in B2B transportation?  In the GS1 standard you would NEVER try to serialize an AI value.  This would make absolutely no sense what so ever.  Perhaps you want to use a general purpose barcode symbology like Code 128, and just have a serialized value in that instead...
