Variable Fields (Prompt For Data Entry)

Hi,

 

Our company is just starting out with Bartender 10.0. One of the questions our label designers have is adding a variable field. In our previous label software, you could add a field which prompted the user to enter data before printing.

 

It is my understanding that this can be done from a database at print time. However, if we are just starting out, is there a way to setup a variable field just to test and learn.

  BarTender has data entry form - click Data Entry Form tab at the bottom of design view. Please look at video below:

  http://www.seagullscientific.com/label-software/training-video-(data-entry-at-print-time).aspx

   

  You can name data source for later reference. Open Text / Barcode, select Data Source and specify Name.
