Saving Username/password For A Filemaker Data Source
I've added a FileMaker ODBC data source, and in the Database Connection Setup dialog I've checked "Save User Name and Password to BarTender Document". However, every time I print or do anything in the Database Connection Setup dialog, I'm prompted for a user name and password.
I've tried modifying the registry to hold the username and password to no avail; it keeps prompting.
I've tried using a File DSN unsuccessfully; without providing UID and PWD parameters it "works" but is still prompting me for the username and password. However, when I do provide the UID and PWD params, it tells me the password is incorrect (and I'm certain that it is correct).
There's no way I can deploy this to a production environment with it constantly prompting for usernames and passwords with every label being printed...
Any ideas?

Any ideas?Hmm.. try to keep the user name in System DSN / User DSN, then test using simple vb script etc

(or MS Access) to check the setting is kept or not.If that cannot be kept, that makes the ODBC driver is not correctly setup or faulty.

I don't believe there is anything wrong with the ODBC setup or the driver itself; at least with all of the FileMaker drivers I've used, there hasn't been a spot within the driver setup to specify a username and password (expect for testing the connection) for either a System or User DSN. Every application I've used has stored the username/password in the app itself.
That's why I was exploring the File DSN since I figured I'd be able to specify the username/password there, but alas, as mentioned, it does not appear to work.

Hi, Try this method - use OLEDB for general ODBC provider.
