Check Digit In Code 128
Hello,
I 'm creating a code-128 barcode.
This is the input. 01954250065055015140120310201234530005^110123456
When I'm printing the barcode I get (01)9542500650550(11)514012(0310)201234(53)000(51)0123456
the EAN13-code starts at 542500650550
How can I resolve this?

Hello Allbiz,
If you wish to use the GS1 Standard in your barcode with BarTender you should most definitively use our "GS1 Application Identifier Data Source wizard" (you'll find it in the barcode properties accessing the "Symbology and Size" node). This way you'll make sure that all requirements for this standard are strictly followed. Also, this will allow you to ignore control and function characters in your data (such as the "^1").
If you recreate your barcode using this wizard do you get a correct result?
You'll find details on how to use our wizard on the below white papers:

Hello Fernando,
I can't find the wizard.
I'm working with version 7.00 build 934.
Do I need an upgrade?
Best regards

Hello Allbiz,
BarTender v7.00 is certainly very old, it might well be possible that at the time the GS1 wizard wasn't included.
You could certainly try it using the latest version of our software, you can download and install it from the below webpage (it will work on trial mode for 30 days):
http://www.bartenderbarcodesoftware.com/label-software/barcode-label-printing-software-download.aspx
Even if you don't wish to acquire a new license after those 30 days (which I strongly recommend as your version is no longer supported and is also not compatible with Windows latest versions) you could at least see how exactly is the barcode being configured.
Regards.
