Replacing Dash (-) With Plus (+) When Scanning
Hi
This might a basic problem, if that's the case please forgive me and bear with me, but i'm really going crazy here.
I'm trying to create a label for warehouse locations. This label should hold the info of item#, description and a QR or barcode (code 128) with the item#.
Some of my item numbers contains characters like dot (.) & dash (-).
[attachment=639:Picture.bmp]
I have created the label and it looks just fine, the barcode object gets the info from the item# field, and the "human readable" number below the barcode are exactly the same as my item#. But then i print the label and when scanning it with my barcode reader all dash (-) symbols are replaced with plus (+) symbols instead?
Where shall i search for cause of failure? In the bartender or is some kind of programming of my scanner???
Thanks in advance for reply's

Hello,
I've tested scanning your barcode and I'm able to read the correct data (with the "-" character). Could it be that your barcode scanner is wrongly configured?
If you still can't fix this issue, please send me your BarTender document (.btw file) so I can take a look at it.

Hello Fernando,
Thanks for you fast reply.
You directed my mindset in the right direction, Thanks!
It was all in the configuration of the scanner, of cause.
Thanks
