    In BT v9.0 we implemented some BarTender Suite applications which might be interesting to you. We now have a BarTender System Database, which is basically an SQL database where BarTender writes print job data information. Thanks to this database, we developed some applications which read past print job data and will e.g. allow you to reprint some labels belonging to a certain print job. This application is called "Reprint Console" and will allow you to reprint some of your serialized labels (the range of labels you choose):

    We've also added user based protection over all Seagull applications + label format password protection over certain actions (print, modify label design, save...), but this is not supported yet in the older versions of BarTender you own.

     

    I suggest that you download the Trial Edition of BarTender v10.1 (our latest version), and that you test the above mentioned features (please have in mind that BT v10.1 will remove previous versions of BT from your PC):

    For the user based protection over applications/label,come with each edition or just certain editions?

    Label Format-based security is available starting at the Professional Edition of BarTender.

     

    User based protection is only available in the Automation Editions of BarTender (and some specific features only available in the Enterprise Automation Edition). Please also read the following White Paper on Security Center:
