Using An Excel Database Updated From My Website
I have text and photos on my website, and can refresh my excel database from the website as I add more items. The website generates a QR code with each item, and that link is also included on a column in the datadase, as is a link to a photo. I have been using Bartender to print slip on tags for individual plants that include some of the text for descriptions, and also the QR code, and have had no trouble uploading any text or QR codes. Now I am trying to design a sign for a group of plants that includes text and the picture that is linked in my database. I can select the Picture from the Create Tab, then Data Sourced Picture as Type, Image Database Field as Source, but I can't find a way to fill in the Field Name. I can click on the Database Connection Setup, which takes me to the available fields and sort fields tab of my database, but when I click on the field from my database for picture, nothing happens. If I enter the field as it appears in the database, I get a warning message (#2514) that it is not a valid field name. I'm stuck....
I have Professional Edition Version 9.4 SR3 2781 Windows 7 Home Premium

The database field you're trying to read, is this an OLE object image? If yes, then please note that until BarTender v10.0 we didn't support reading OLE pictures out of an Access database. If Excel uses the same approach for embedding the picture, then the same applies to Microsoft Excel. On our website you will find BarTender v10.1, which you can test as a Trial Edition to see if you've the same issues:

Also, it is not clear from your description of the problem, if you've previously connected the BarTender document to your Excel spread sheet via BarTender's "File > Database Connection Setup" dialog. Please confirm if this is the case.
