Print System Time On Label
I have viewed a previous topic that explained how to have the Date print on labels.
We have a need to have the system "Time" print on the label whenever it is printed as part of our FIFO inventory system. I tried adding a data field and choosing Clock, but that only prints the date and not the time. Is there a way to get the system Time to print on a label. Thank you.

After choosing Clock as the data source type, you need to go to the "Data Type" tab and select whether you want it to be formatted as a Date or Time (as well as picking the format for how it should display, such as 2:15 PM vs. 14:15:00).

Thanks Ian. That is perfect!

After testing this solution I am finding that the Time is not updating each time a label is printed. It's using time I submitted the print job for every label. For example, if I send a print job at 7:45:34, every label shows that time instead of the actual time the label is printed, which might be a few hours later.
How can I get it to print the current time each time a label is printed? If we do 60 labels in an hour, each label should have an updated time stamp on it.
Thank you.

There has been a solution for this for a number of years, but to achieve it the printer must have a real time clock onboard and BarTender needs to be able to access this via the driver. In some instances this will mean you need to use Seagull's own drivers rather than the manufacturers own variant if they use one. The image below is for a Zebra ZT620 using the Seagull not ZDesigner driver

I am using Linx TT5 printers so not sure if that is possible. It has a real time clock I see

I haven't access to any of those printers but I would check that the font you are using is embedded in the unit as you will need to use one of those and it maybe that you have to use a particular font for these commands that are sent to the printer. You may need to check with the manual/manufacturer to see what font you should use and the date format the printer can use.
