Hi there,

I have a couple of queries about using Components in label design.

There are a number of people at our company who are involved in label design. I have a set of components with various icons & text samples. Is there any easy way to share these components with other users?

Also is there any way to create components from outside image source rather than having to create from objects on label's? I have a couple of hundred icons which I'd like to create as components but would rather not have to do it for each individually.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

  You can specify a common "Components" folder for all users of BarTender via the "Administer>Folder and file locations setup" menu item. Any component your create is save as a BTC file which you can even email to people should you so choose.
  
  A component will save the objects as is, so is mostly of use for embedded objects, therefore items sourced from a database would need that the BarTender document as a whole be connected to the database first. Is there any reason why data sourcing the image icons via a database, as part of the label design, would not suit your needs?
