Exceeding Number Of Printers

There is no way to set up printers in the license server.  Printers get added to the licensed server list as you print to the printer from Bartender.  You are allowed to exceed the number of licensed printers by double your purchased amount for 30 days before BarTender will quit working for you.

The networked printers can be a bit tricky ... from what I understand (and maybe a moderator can confirm this) you need to make sure you install the remote license server on the machines with network printers.  This helps the license server somehow to distinguish that it is actually the same printer and not a different one for each machine.

An interesting feature Seagull License Server (SLS) offers is to enable the "Keep" checkbox inside Seagull License Server once the printer(s) has been used for the first time and tracked by SLS. When you reach the limit of licensed printers and once Seagull License Server starts to deny printing to printers because you've also exceeded the 30 day grace period, printing to those printers which have the "Keep" checkbox enabled won't be denied.

If you need to print to the same printer from more than one computer, make the printer driver installation consistent. This means, if it's a network printer accessible via direct IP address, all PC's must point to the printer using the same IP address. Another possible method (for local connected printers which you share out to the network), is to install a printer instance on every PC (including the PC where the printer is locally attached to) which points to the UNC shared name of the printer "\\ServerName\SharedPrinterName"

Furthermore, no Print Station cannot run as a standalone application. It requires BarTender to be installed on the same computer.
