One Commander Or Multiple Commanders

In our current system we have two servers with the same vendor software installed for label printing.  This allows us to do load balancing as we pass trigger data through our process.

 

With the BarTender Suite is it OK to have more than one Commander running? We are looking at a Commander and BarTender on one server and a Commander and BarTender on a second server for load balancing, similiar to what we are doing today.

 

Or is it better to have one Commander running and multiple BarTenders?   What are the pros and cons of each of these otpions?

  To do load balancing, you'll want to put an instance of Commander on each machine. That way you can have separate instances of BarTender on each of the servers and not be dependent on a single server. If you implement one Commander with multiple BarTenders, you've still just got one server hosting the BarTender instances, so load balancing doesn't work.

  Thanks. That is what I was thinking too but after looking at the possibility of multiple Command Handlers under Commander and multiple instances of BarTender I wanted to check that route.
