Xlsx Connection Problems
I'm having problems getting bartender to connect to xlsx spreadsheets, I have 3 SS on one 4 year old pc running win7, it connects to one of the SS but not the other 2, the only way I can get it to work is to save the other 2 as xls files. This is not ideal as all our other pc's are networked on office 365 and we are all using xlsx so it's creating a compatability headache
Have tried all the suggested windows/office environment upgrades/drivers with no joy.
Has anyone got a workable solution we can try, without going ahead and buying a new pc of course. Am on V10 so maybe the upgrade addresses some of the issues we are having, certainly we find the AT version of Bartender to be way more complicated to set up and run smoothly than it could be.

You need to download and install the AccessDatabaseEngine component from Microsoft. This includes support for XSLX files: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=13255

Thanks for the reply, have already done that, didn't make a difference, one Xlxs works and the others do not, it's definitely not a spreadsheet problem as they are running OK on other pc's and this particular PC has had a full factory reset so it's clean. It's obviously an issue with using the latest XL version on older computers, any ideas?

For BarTender v10.x you need to download and install the x86 version because that BarTender is a 32 bit application. Maybe there is a problem with the individual files, try creating a very simple table from scratch to see if BarTender is then able to connect to it.
