Saving Data Entry Form Input Onto File
Hello,
I'm looking for a way to update the Date (linked by Calendar Control) each time that a user inputs a different date in the Data Entry Form.
Example: The last time I edited the bartender file was on 03/17/2016 - when I open the file today, the date shows "03/17/2016". After entering the new date in the Data Entry Form (when printing the label) is there a way to get the newly selected date - "05/24/2016" to save on the file template so that next time I open the file, it will display the date as "05/24/2016" instead of "03/17/2016"??
-- I know you can open the date field, change to today's date and then save it (long way) but is there a setting that will automatically update this each time? Ideally I would be able to do this in Print Station, but if it is still possible in Bartender, that would still help much!
Thanks,
David

In the form control/data source properties there is a checkbox option to update the default value after print. Make sure this is enabled. Of course the document file will need to be saved in order for the updated default to be retained. In more recent versions of Print Station it will perform a smart save for you to automatically retain such things as these and serial numbers that are used in a label design.

Thanks Ian - you've helped me solve this issue.
I had seen this check box before but I don't think I tried it with print station. I was hoping to have it automatically save and it does now - in Print Station after each print (you can just X out of the program and it saves last print data in that field) but in Bartender, it prompts to save before each time which is what I didn't want.
