Bad Labels Appear 1 In About 200 Labels
Hello,
My company has been live with Bartender for about 2 weeks now and I have seen a continuous problem with our labels to where they are unscannable and appear to be "broken". The printers that are only affected are the SATO M8485se printers. I have attached a picture of what a normal label looks like, and what a broken one looks like. You will notice that the lines are not printing to separate the data elements and some elements are unscannable such as the box serial number. I have contacted Bartender support for this problem twice and have not been able to resolve this issue so I'm hoping the user forums will provide a better outcome. My configuration is:
Bartender 10.1 SR3 Automation
SATO M8485se Printer connected through Ethernet

Are you printing the labels in narrow edge leading rotation such that the barcodes print ladder style rather than picket fence fashion? When printing rotated "ladder" barcodes you should take care of print speed and darkness settings in order to avoid bar element bleed like I think I see in your second photo. Lower print speed and darkness of the printer until you are getting consistent, good quality barcodes. Cleaning the print head and adjusting print head pressure should also be worthwhile.
