Password Protect (Event Handle) Actions On Layout
Hi,
Is there a way to password protect certain events on a layout i.e. Ungroup objects. When a user tries to ungroup on a layout can a password prompt appear? Or an email could be sent out if Objects get ungrouped?

BarTender offers a BarTender document password feature to protect the following actions:
- Open Document.
- Save Document.
- Save Copy of Document.
- Print.
- Modify Template Design.
- Modify Protected VBScript.
- Modify Print Dialog Options.
- Modify Page Setup.
- Modify Database Setup.
- Modify Layers.
Your group / ungroup objects action would be englobed by the "modify template design" action. Is this feature sufficient for you, or are you looking to only deny this specific action?

Yes I believe "Modify Template Design" password protect is what I am looking for.
Is the password protect for "Modify Template Design" available on 9.01? If so can you advise how I can set that up. I only found a Password Setup under Tools but I can still move contents of the layout around and it doesn't prompt me for password...

The password setup in 9.01 is for Bartender account not layout. There is no Log Out feature.. closing the layout does not log me out instead I have to close Bartender..

We added this feature in BT v9.1 (available for Professional or higher Edition of BarTender). If you're interested in this feature, I'm afraid that you will need to purchase our latest version of BarTender, which currently is BT v10.1
