Most likely your printer driver is corrupted in some way.  If using a Seagull driver I suggest you download the latest from the Seagull website, and run the Seagull DriverWizard application to first remove the currently installed driver, reboot, and then run again to install.

The "no fonts" reference in the error message is due to the fact that available fonts are enumerated through the printer driver in order to get a full list of Windows and printer based fonts.

Download the latest Seagull drivers from the below link:

We are having issues installing drivers as well, I actually just created another separate thread here:

    http://seagullscientific.invisionzone.com/index.php?/topic/1902-driver-install-cd-crashes/

Oddly, it happens for both our Zebra and Datamax printer installs.  Per your suggestion, I'll try to download the most recent drivers and test.

Thanks for the very prompt response!

I downloaded both the Zebra and the Datamax 7.3.3 drivers and received the same problem --

    Visual Studio Just-In-Time Debugger

An unhandled Win32 exception occurred in DriverWizard.exe [8096]

Do you want to debug using the selected debugger? [Y/N]

It happens just as I hit finish on the last step.  Separate thread created for this issue:

Make sure no application is running that is using a printer driver.  Make sure there are no print jobs still in the print queues.

Do the removal of all Seagull printer drivers first, and then reboot.

Once restarted, run the DriverWizard again to install from scratch.

Make sure you run the DriverWizard from a local location on your PC.

It does worry me to remove all printer drivers, as currently we are unable to reinstall.  That would leave our label department down, so in addition to scheduling downtime I will need to consult with some others first.

I will update with results once your suggestions have been tried, or if we take another route.

    Thanks!

This issue can also appear after a computer or domain name change. Therefore, if you are familiar with the Windows registry and prefer this method, navigate to the following string value:

“HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\WindowsNT\CurrentVersion\Print\Printers\[PrinterName]\DS Spooler\shortServerName” and change the value to the name of your computer. Please make a backup of your registry before making any changes to the registry.

Thanks Domingo, but I do not believe that applies in our situation.  We have not done any domain changes.  Thanks for the input though, I checked it out and it was interesting to see the registry entries.

Hey, just wanted to update.  I called support and IanC's suggestions exactly mirrored what I was told via phone support.

We'll do this next week during a maintenance window.  I'll let you know how it went.

    Thanks!

Bit late on the update, but everything went well.  Thanks for your help!
