Version Issue
I am currenbtly supporting two versions of BarTender in two different locations that are both members of the same network. The first company is running version 10 SR3 Enterprise Automation edition. The second company Is licensed by installation and is running 9.4 SR3 Professional.
I have run into an issue where I accidently opened up one of the 9.4 templates in the 10 environment and ever since then I have a situation where they can't open the template because it says it is created in a newer version of BarTender. I have tried multiple things but they all only seem to work temporarily.
1. Opened the template in 10 and saved it as 9.4
2. Opened the template in 10, saved it as 9.4 ... then opened it in the 9.4 4 and saved it again
3. Did one and 2 but saved it as a different file name ... deleted the old file and then renamed the new file
I'm at a loss right now as to why the template keeps reverting to the new version without anyone touching it. On one account I saw that it said I had modified the file on the previous day when I had not touched the template for several days....

There is an option in BarTender where you can set the default save version as a previous version. I'd suggest changing this to 9.4.
Open the BarTender Document Setup dialog from the Administer menu to change this version.

I got some more informaiton and it came to light that the company using 9.4 has also purchased 2 print only copies of version 10 :(.
It dawned on me last night what might be cauing the issue is the users are selecting serialized copies of the label instead of copies, I just removed the serialized option for the label and hope this will solve my problem.
Thanks for your input Jim ... I hope my solution above solves the issue, If not I will see if they can set the option in the print only copies they have deployed to save in an older version.
