Bartender 10 Crashing When Opening .btw
Hello all. I have a user who just received bartender 10. We are not using a license server. When she tries to open a .btw files that were created in an earlier version bartender 10 freezes up immediately and stops responding. It takes about 2 minutes for the label to open. These lables are on the network but I've tried copying them to her desktop with the same results. I have other users running 9.3 I believe without issue. Any ideas?

Make sure the latest service release SR4 is installed and try again:

I'm getting the same issue, I keep meaning to upgrade to the latest 2016 but this is my issue also, I have some older files that are now needing to be used and am finding problems opening them up in version 10.0 SR4. Mine just goes to Not Responding and when I try to quit out Windows asks me if I want to wait or restart the program. I'm finding it even with files created 3 years ago. Was this ever resolved?

Its by design, we have used Bartender for many years and each version have several bugs. They release some service packs and then move to a new major version and you are expected to buy it to fix the remaining problems and apparently get new bugs. We use version 10 right now and you can try move around and edit data sources on a string and you are guaranteed to crash. Save often! previous versions had less severe problems like when you type a letter in a field it will always move the cursor to the beginning of the field.
