How can I stop the ink ribbon from coming out when I print a sticker? The printer seams to be ok as function, but the only time it prints w/o the ribbon coming out is when I hold down on the top of the printer or it sounds like something is grinding (gears). is there an adjustment I can make? Warner

  What kind of printer is it? Usually that means that you don't have it set to thermal transfer in either the driver or the printer configuration, so it's feeding out the transfer ribbon without having the receiving spool enabled.

  It looks like the user has a TecLabel TT040-50. Likely found Seagull because it is the first Google hit when searching for that model.

   

  Mike is correct, to confirm that you are using the printer in "Thermal Transfer" mode instead of "Direct Thermal".

   

  Seagull is the writer of the TECLabel drivers, but not the printer manufacturer, so you may have success by contacting your printer reseller or TECLabel directly.
