    Hi,
    Try using BarTender created barcode.
On the Barcode's property > Symbology and Size (Barcode tab in 9.4 or older) > [Print Method], select [Bar codes and human readable text controlled by BarTender.]

In the "Barcode" tab clicn the "Print Method" button and specify that BarTender renders the barcode instead of the printer.

    Unfortunately, this did not work.

I've noticed that when I put the same value into a text field with a black background and white text, //something// still writes, and you end up with a little black box.

This field is replicated several places on my label, so I just added an onData method to the replicated fields to check for a blank value and clear themselves.

    Thanks for the response.

zenithanthony: Code 39 is a widely used general purpose barcode symbology. The Code 39 specification defines 43 characters, consisting of uppercase letters (A through Z), numeric digits (0 through 9) and a number of special characters (-, ., $, /, +, %, and space). BarTender fully supports it for printing to any printer. Pretty much any barcode reader can read a Code 39 barcode, but be sure to check the specifications of any particular device before hand.

For tehnical information on Code 39 I suggest you take a look at the below Wikipedia page:

If you do a print preview of the label, do you still see the same problem on screen? Also, please confirm the edition, version and build of BarTender in use and the version of Windows. Which printer make/model are you printing to and what is the printer driver version?
