Barcode Scanner

We sell items to the US Govt and every item label we generate has a barcode on the label.  My question concerns this barcode.  We are able to generate the barcode but do not have a barcode scanner that can interpret the information.  We do not necessarily need the scanner (bc we are shipping it out) but I would like to know if it Is possible to buy one somewhere?

  Sure.  Most consumer/office electronics retail stores have them, as well as most online retailers that deal in computer hardware.  Just take a look wherever you purchase your hardware from.  All you need to look for is one that will scan the barcode types that you're trying to use.

  There are smartphone applications that will scan barcodes for you as well using the camera. You can search for these.
