Parenthese Disappear If I Add Prefix To Ean
Hello,
I am new to creating barcodes and am in need of some help.
I need to create a GS1-128 barcode with the below data identifiers and data;
(01) prefix "0" + EAN# (30)4 digit value (92)4 digit value
Now I am able to create the barcode with all the relevant information the only problem is that I don't get the 0 in front of the EAN number, if I add the prefix "0" to the EAN (GTIN) number (via "data source"-"transforms"-"prefix and suffix") the parentheses disappear for data identifier 30 and also the check digit after the EAN# disappears...
I would like to know what I am doing wrong.
Attached is a picture of the barcode with correct info just missing the prefix 0, and then the result after I added the prefix.

AI (01) allows you to encode the GTIN (13 digits of the EAN product code) plus a 14th digit which is a calculated check digit based on the UCCMod10 function. With a "0" prefix before the GTIN this gives 15 digits which is invalid. I suggest you double check the GTIN value that is to be inserted into the barcode. Is it supposed to be "04050259896677" or "40502598966778"? Do you have the original EAN-13 barcode for the product being shipped, and if so what is the full 13 digit value of the barcode? 0
