bartender 2019 R10 application slowness
We are currently working with Bartender version 2019 R10.
Program: BarTender Designer 2019 R10
OS: Windows 10 Pro x64 build 19045
SSD and 16G memory.
I have one PC that has Bartender installed but there is slowness when opening the application and printing within the program. All Windows patches are also installed regularly. Printer drivers are also downloaded from Seagull. The printer model is Zebra zt620
I try to repair the installation. After the repair is finished it goes back to normal but after this PC rebooted it seems to revert back to its slow state.
I've been having this problem for a long time and I've never been able to find the root cause.
I've searched Google for many similar problems but unfortunately, none of them have a correct solution.

We have similar issue for years, no matter how many changes we have done. I wanted to contact Seagull's tech support directly , however was directed to community by default. Have you had any joy?

Seagull's Tech Support team refused to assist me since my maintenance contract was no longer valid.
I am considering upgrading to version 2022, but I am not sure if it will solve the issue. I did some research and found out that version 2022 also has poor performance problems. If that is the case, I might have to switch to Codesoft.

Thankyou for your feedback, but I believe you may be right that version 2022 may be poor performance.
What I gather from another source is that may be Seagull has to do the installation of the software, but will seek alternative.

It sounds like there is an issue with the PC if it works after a repair and then the performance degrades after a reboot. Have you tried logging on as a different user account to see if it anything weird like that users permissions etc? I have seen something like this previously where one a user account was causing an issue that prevented certain things from happening. If you are using labels and databases stored on the network trying saving them locally and try to access them from there to see if that helps.
BarTender 2022 is more permissions hungry and then only issues I have encountered are as a result of this and customers trying to access network resources (labels and databases) with user accounts that have insufficient rights that dramatically reduces the performance. Saying that Print Station in 2022 is slower than in previous versions I have found as it was revamped to look and perform the same as the web printing application (Print Portal), but not a major issue as far as I am concerned.
Talking of Print Portal, if is is just one PC that has this issue and the user does not need any design functionality with all user entry fields being configured on Data Entry Forms, then with 2022 you could deploy Print Portal and designate a PC/Server as you web printing server with all the users accessing the printing functionality via their browser rather than having to install the application on the PC. Prior to 2022 BarTender Enterprise was need to access Print Portal but Automation and Professional editions can now access it too, although in a limited format
