Is it possible to create labels without a license?
I have a customer who has purchased BarTender licenses. The problem is, I need to develop labels for them, and their license is tied to the PC that's running on the floor. So in order to develop labels, they need to interrupt production so I can use the production PC to create the label formats. I had a 30-day free trial demo license but it expired. I'd really like to be able to develop labels for them without having to interrupt their production. Is there a free "label authoring only" license or some other way to accomplish what I'd like to accomplish?

If your customer is using BarTender 2019/2021 or 2022 then this maybe installed on any number of computers all of which can only print to the same licenced printer(s). This would mean you could install BarTender on a different PC or even a server on the same network that is connected to the licence and work on the labels on there. I would suggest that you install the matching driver to the printer that is being used on the shop floor or, ideally, link to the printer driver itself as a shared device so that all the default settings and parameters of that printer are available for your label designs/changes.
