Printing with a Barcode Scanner

Hi. I'm printing barcodes from a Cab Squix printer that is fitted with a CC200-SQ barcode scanner. The scanner verifies that each printed barcode has been printed correctly and is readable. If not, the printer says there is an error. But when I send a print job from BarTender, the barcode scanner is not active. Is there a setting somewhere to enable the barcode scanner?
