Quantity count of print record to printer issue

I print in an environment where we have one workstation with a Zebra Xi3 and one with an Xi4. We have standard label formats that we need to save multiple instances of due the registration being different on both printers. When printing from a file that is for the Xi3 the number of labels is sent to and displayed on the printer (i.e. 1 of 1000). The issue I have is when I print using the Xi4 file, the number of labels is displayed as 1 of 1. So if I send 1000 copies to the printer it will do 1 of 1 a thousand times. This causes a big headache when I want to cancel the job on printer.
Also when I open a Xi3 file with the intent of printing with the Xi4 it will default to this issue.
Is there a setting somewhere in the print dialog that is causing this?

I would suggest you make sure you are using the Seagull rather than ZDesigner driver and also make sure you are using an embedded Zebra font that is present in both devices (Zebra Triumvirate I think is for example). On the Print Screen also make sure the Allow Serialisation is ticked on the Performance tab.

Thanks for the reply. Actually found the issue to be that the Xi4 that is using the Seagull driver was applying a media handling action by default to any BTW file opened. When I selected to use the driver settings the record count displayed on the Xi3 using the default driver.
