Manual date and time entry

Hi,

 

I want the user to manually enter a date and time in the Data Entry Form, which on the label has to be converted to julian date.

How would I do this using Bartender 10.0 SR4. Thanks.

  Create a text line and set the "Data Type" to "Date" and select the "locale" to "Language Independent (Generic)". About 2/3 of the way down the format options you will find the julian date option.

  Now just connect a normal text input box to that text box on the label. If you type in a date in standard format (month/day/year if your computer is set to US options) BarTender will automatically change that into the julian format for you on the label.

  I made a listbox for day+month, so I could have the julian date as 2nd colum values of the listitems. Only problem that doesn't take into acount is leap years. But for the purpose I am using it, this solution is suffiicient.
