Using Square details to make barcodes scannable in square
I purchased this printer from AMazon as a upgrade from printing on my pc on full label sheets and I can not seem to make scanable labels to use with my square barcode reader. Not sure what I am doing wrong, I have used the 2 barcodes that is said to be used with square and eventhough it will read it, it says item not found in square. I print the barcodes that Square gives and it scans just fine. Wondering if I should return this printer and bite the bullet and just but a Zebra.

Can you give us some more information please, such as a scan/screenshot of what you are trying to achieve and the Data Sources (such as the image below)?
There are more than one barcode symbol that can be square in shape and depending on what you are trying to achieve the way the code can be made up in different ways.

Thank you very much for the response. I hope the multiple images below can assist. I am using Square POS.
It will generate barcodes but only uses specific printers as seen below. Square says I can use outside software that they use UPC-A and EAN-13.
However when I use either of them and scan it with Square it gives me this alert.
I am not sure what I need to do to be able to get it read by the scanner and process correctly. I am sure there has to be a way but being new to the BarTender software leaves me at a loss.

The codes look to be Code-128 symbols to me and are not UPCA or EAN13 as they must be 12 or 13 character long respectively and they can only encode numerically with no alphabetical characters.
I am not sure how UPC works but for EAN symbols you normally have to register with GS1 and be provided with a range of numbers that you can use on your products. If you they are for internal use only then I guess you could get away without doing this but you would need to make sure the symbol you have encoded is in the database that Square uses for the products as that looks to be what the message you are receiving is saying to me.

Thank you sooooo much you solved the issue. Turns out the upc/barcodes that were supposedly correct were very incorrect. Once I changed the template to the Code-128 barcodes everything worked perfectly. After countless Google searches over several hours you were able to solve my issues. Again thank you soo very much.
