Phrase library - feature query
Hi All
Before I go to the effort of upgrading our infrastructure to investigate the Phrase Library feature, could someone tell me please if it's possible to create translations that include value substition ? For example :
Hi my name is {X} and I come from {Y}
In say Spanish or Greek, {X} & {Y} may not ( I don't know) be positioned differently in the sentance structure, so these variables might want to be positioned such that in a Greek equivalent translation, the sentance is structured :
Hi {X} is my name and {Y} is where I from.
As I understand it, the Phrase Library does a direct phrase replacement as in the example provided in (https://support.seagullscientific.com/hc/en-us/articles/360056388634) and including variables mid sentance doesn't work ?
Hopefully this makes sense to someone.
TIA
Simon

Not a totally elegant solution but you could build the data string up of a number of elements/substrings and adjusted the sources of those strings accordingly.

The paragraph/Normal Wrapped field is made up of 4 data sources as shown below:

I hope this helps.

Hi Pete
That works as an idea. Like you said, it's not elegant but it's perfectly workable. Thanks for the response
kind regards
