Label settings for Black Mark detection
I am having problems with extra label feeds where the label uses a Black Mark separator. Can someone please tell me the correct Page Size and Template size with correct margin settings for this? The full physical size of the label is 1.5" wide by 2.1991" tall. The black mark stripe on the reverse side is at the top and it approximately 1/8" tall.
This is supposed to be a standard Avery Dennison / Monarch label but does not show up in BarTender's stock label sizes.
With both Page and Template set to 1.5 x 2.19 BarTender is printing an extra blank after each label. This blank page also shows up in the Print Preview leading me to believe this is due to the sizes being incorrect.

Use the full width with no margins but for the height measure and enter the distance between the bottom of the black mark on the 1st label to the top of the mark on the second label.
With some printers with a label length set the sensor does not look for the next registration mark until it has printed/fed out the full label as set in the template.

The height you mention is that for the Page Size or Template Size or both?
And do I set any top or bottom margins or try to keep them both 0?0 -
No, no top and bottom margins. As long as it is configured to do so, the printer will pick up on the black mark and start printing at the end of the mark
