Can't activate SLS on new server
I'm new to BarTender 2016 and have a client that wanted to move their SLS deployment away from a Server 2008 computer. I deactivated the old license server and then installed 2016 R9 on a Server 2016 R2 server. However, I cannot activate this new deployment as no one has any idea of the original product key. Is that readily available at a BarTender client PC? I documented their support number which doesn't do me a whole lot of good and the 72 hour window in which printing will work without a license server is now down to 71 hours. Thanks for your assistance.

If this local machine had the BarTender Administration Console installed on it, then perhaps there is something we could do in order to discover your BarTender License Key without too much hassle.
Search for the BarTender companion application "Administration Console" in your workstation. If we are lucky and it's indeed there, then please open said application and position yourself on the "Licensing" tab. From there, depending on the BarTender version and edition, we might be able to get the license key:
Now, in case the license can't be located on this menu, we would suggest opening a ticket with our Technical Services department or reaching your BarTender Reseller since issues related to BarTender Licensing and Activations such as these will need to go through our regular support channels. If you have a Maintenance & Support agreement active with us, then you can reach us via web-form, chat, or phone. If not, we still have some regular support channels available to you.
In order to access support, go to our Get Support page and enter your Support Number, this will automatically check your support status and provide you with links to your available lines of support. Also, please be sure to have your BarTender Support Number with you ready when you reach us as our technicians will have to check on your license and see what the status is from our side.
