Seagull License Server failed to start or stopped unexpectedly
I have an instance of SLS installed on a PC on our network. There has been some concern about the SLS failing to start or stopping unexpectedly. The task of asking has fallen to me. Is anyone aware of anything that could cause a failure to start or unexpected termination? I cannot provide exact details of our network operating environment (mostly because I don't know them). I am using BT 2016. If anyone has encountered anything like this before, some guidance would be helpful. I did look through the Windows Event Viewer, and I couldn't see anything indicating that the service had failed to start or had stopped.

In order to properly troubleshoot this issue, we might need more information regarding the error; would it be possible for you to send us a screenshot of the error itself? Sometimes there might be error codes attached to these which could be helpful to us.
Also, we could try opening the Seagull License Server as an administrator by right-clicking on it and choosing "Run as Administrator", and see if that will allow you to start the license server.
If not, my next suggestion would be to run a repair of the BarTender installation from Control Panel > Programs and Features, and see if that corrects the issue for you.
Let me know if any of these suggestions work for you, and if not we will go from there.0 -
We are also having similar issue that the Seagull License service is intermittently stopping on a Windows 2016 Server version 1607. This is the error message in the Windows Application "Faulting application name: SLSsrv.exe, version: 11.0.3.3094, time stamp: 0x579feec6

The repair install did not correct the problem the same error message is displayed in the Windows Application event viewer.
