Printing to zebra printers on lan from Windows
We currently print to six zebra ZD500s on our LAN through RF+ and a single print server. I would like to be able to print to the same printers from other applications as well. For example, MS Access, Excel, etc. We can already do this when printers are local to a PC, but the driver doesn't seem to want to install (using BarTender DriverWizard.exe) when the printers are nodes on the LAN and connected directly by ethernet. The printers are visible on my Win 10 "Printers & Scanners" settings, but I can't install the driver. Any help would be apprecitated.

As you are not printing via BarTender for these and so wont cause duplicate printer issues in the licence then I would suggest adding them initially as local printers, say connected to the LPT port (even if that does not actually exist on the machine). Once install go into the Printer Properties of the driver add a new (generic) network port connected to the printers IP addresses

Thanks for that solution. While I was waiting for a response, I tried installing the Zebra driver (instead of the BT driver) on a local PC, pointing that to the IP address of a network ZD500 as you suggested. Worked perfectly and didn't interfere with printing from RF+ through BarTender. My ultimate objective is to print from ASP.NET applications on our Windows intranet server. This experiment showed me that installing the Zebra driver on the intranet server and granting the ASPNET user the right permissions will work, and there will be no conflicts in sharing printers between my apps and BarTender. Thanks very much.
