ZPL barcode fields are not generated
I am trying to use BarTender 2016 to generate ZPL files (business need, not my idea). I know that as long as I have the correct printer driver(s), I can do so using the "Print to File" function. However, the ZPL for the barcodes (Code 128 and GS1-128) is not generated; instead, the barcodes are included as part of the graphics.
I'm expecting to see something like this:

Those commands are not present in the generated ZPL file. What do I need to do, assuming there is anything I can do? I know that I can use other label design software, but I really don't want to (I happen to be rather fond of BarTender).
The printer model I am using is the ZDesigner QLn420.

You may need to replace the driver with the Seagull version which should then open up the option shown below. This will then hopefully then output the data in full ZPL for the barcodes rather than send them in graphical format.

Thank you for the suggestion, Pete. However, that did not accomplish my goal 100%, regardless of the printer model and Print Method Options. Looks like I'll just have to use a different software solution.
Thank you all the same.

Have you tried using the Export Printer Code Template option from the File menu?

After experimenting with several printers, drivers, print method, and exporting printer code, I do get a ZPL file that I can print on my ZDesigner QLn420 (ZPL) printer. My concern is that because the BarTender-generated and the ZebraDesigner Pro 2-generated ZPL files are different, the BT version may not work in my environment (which I have absolutely no control over). Perhaps I am overly cautious.
I really do appreciate the help. Thank you.
