Slow printing with Date Picker

I am using BarTender 2019 with a Zebra 140xi4 printer and I'm experiencing slow print speed/pausing between labels. I can get it to print quickly if I enable "Allow Static Object" in the performance tab of the print dialogue, but when I do that I get incorrect data on the label. There is a "Date of MFG" field which I use the date picker function for, and whenever the static object option is enabled, it just prints the default date instead of the date selected at print time. This doesn't happen if I do a print preview, only when I physically print the label. Is there something in the print driver that I can change so that it prints the correct date when the static object option is enabled?

Two things you could try/check, is make sure you are using a Seagull and not the ZDesigner driver and also look at the font being used and change to one of the Zebra (Triumvirate or similar) as TrueType font fields are handled as graphics.

Thank you very much for the reply Peter. I was able to resolve this issue on my own. What I didn't think about yesterday was how the printers are connected to the computers. They're direct connections, not networked, so I didn't think it would be an issue. This morning I decided to check and they were using old 9-pin serial cables. I swapped them out with USB's and now they print fine.

No worries but that probably is to do with the fonts then as the files will be going down with graphics and so will be a lot bigger than normal than if using the devices fonts and so this really can be slow with serial connections.
