Installation Issue with Microsoft SQL CE 3.5 SP2 (x64)
When trying to install 2016 R8 on a brand new system the machine hangs during Microsoft SQL CE 3.5 SP2 (x64) installation.
My system is Windows 10 64bit
I tried first the web installation and then download full version and go that route, they both hang.

I have seen something similar before which turned out to be a permissions issue although I was getting no warnings of this. If memory serves me elevated permissions did not work and we had to log in with a full admin rights user account.
Alternatively you could try installing this file directly from the the Microsoft site as if BT detects it already it should skip this part of the installation process
