Bartender Designer 2016 R3 can't print to Microsoft Print to pdf

I've been using this program for a few years and have never had an issue printing labels to pdf. A few days ago when I tried to print to pdf, The Save Print Output dialog displays as usual, but when I enter a file name and click Save, a window flashes on the screen for less than a second, then nothing happens. The file isn't saved. I haven't changed any settings. Any help would be appreciated.

  I haven't used the Microsoft Print to PDF but use a different PDF driver to create PDFs if I need to (PDF Architect) and so probably not much help. However after a recent Windows update I encountered a problem with this and had to update both it and BarTender to R8 to fix it. So maybe worth updating your BarTender (from the Service Releases in the Downloads section of the web page) and checking to see if the Microsoft file has an update too.
